A classic expression of Virginia’s native grape Norton. The Chambourcin contributes most heavily to the texture of this wine, as it adds a juiciness and roundness not typically found with the acid-driven Norton. On the nose and palate, Norton dominates throughout with its distinct black raspberry flavor and puckering acidity. More of a delicate and lighter-bodied red, this wine has a deep, dark purple color typically found in more structured reds – another hallmark of Norton.  Pairs well with barbeque, sausage, wild game, and other meats with heavy marinades. Our recommend Thanksgiving wine!

Winemaker Notes
100% Virginia grown blend of Norton and Chambourcin. The Norton spent 10 months in older French Oak, while the Chambourcin was aged entirely in stainless steel. Two Virginia favorites known for their intensity of color, the wine has a distinct, bright red and purplish color. A classic dry Virginia Red.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs well with barbeque, sausage, wild game, and other meats with heavy marinades. Medium in body with a sharp acidity, this wine is extremely food friendly. An excellent pairing for poultry and turkey dishes. Our recommend Thanksgiving wine!
