2023 Gov. Fauquier
Vidal Blanc
This off-dry white wine is made to be crisp, bright, & well balanced, especially enjoyable in the spring and summer months of the year. 100% Vidal Blanc aged in stainless steel. Vidal Blanc’s natural acidity is retained in this wine, making it a fantastic grape to use for off-dry wines, as the sweetness & tartness complement each other perfectly. A lively wine with notes of lemon & grass throughout the nose & palate, it rejuvenates the palate with each sip. The perfect accompaniment to spicy cuisine like Mexican, Thai, & Sushi.

Tasting Notes
Crisp, bright, and well balanced. A lively wine with notes of lemon and grass throughout the nose and palate, it rejuvenates the palate with each sip.
Vineyard Notes
The maritime influence of Vault Field vineyard is apparent in our 2021 Governor Fauquier. The cool breezes of Virginia’s Northern Neck help Vidal Blanc retain its acidity, something the grape is known for in even more challenging climates. This natural acidity lends itself extremely well to off-dry wines, as the sweetness and tartness complement each other perfectly.
Winemaker Notes
Two lots of Vidal Blanc, fermented separately and blended together shortly after fermentation. Racked off its lees almost immediately and allowed to clarify naturally before bottling.
Food Pairing Notes
The perfect accompaniment to spicy cuisine like Mexican, Thai, and Sushi.
